Free to Breathe

Free To Breathe Lung Cancer Awareness Walk

Team Titanium believes in giving back to the community. Our students participate in numerous food drives and charity collections for those in need. Members of our team helped facilitate Free to Breathe, a charity walk for lung cancer. Our students have logged over 2000 hours in our school’s community service program with mentoring and tutoring younger students in science and robotics.

Free to Breathe is an annual 5K run/walk fundraiser for lung cancer. Some of our team members have been involved in this for several years. This year, additional help was needed to run the race, so Team Titanium volunteered manpower to help facilitate the event. Students and mentors helped with set-up, provided parking assistance, helped with participant check-in, manned stations along the course, helped take tags at the finish line, and helped with clean-up. The event attracted 850 participants, and raised over $38,500 for lung cancer research and support.
